  5. Article #4 For a safer workforce, use leading indicators to avoid lagging

The results in the article show how the injuries decreased in 2011 compared to 2010, but the final goal is the total worker safety with zero injuries and illnesses. The lagging indicators have limitations, so if we use it on combination with the leading indicators, they give us a better chance to prevent injuries. The difference between this indicators are, the lagging look demonstrated failure of a specific characteristic and the leading look guide and create safer actions for make an future influence.

He wrote some leading indicators and showed us the importance to follow them, because we need considers safety as a priority, and they follow-through because it’s the right thing to do, not just because they have to comply.

  6. Safety perspectives: past, present, future
I think it's a very nice opinion about how the precaution signs have changed, because I remembered the same, some time ago, most articles didn't used to have any precaution and in the generation changing is appearing in every article we buy. As a new generation appears new precaution signs to avoid injuries and illness. That is how humanity has been changing and reducing accident with a small warning and improving the materials.

  7. Article #3
The article was about of how the generations had been chance, in his article, Jonathan compared of how the playgrounds had change and also the simple thing of put a precaution because the coffee is hot. I think that Jonathan has reason that generations change, I think that those changes are because the people want to be safer. Also some of the changes that is really necessary is to use the seatbelt, because this can save your life in an accident. I think that the changes are making for better.

  8. Article 3: Safety perspective: past, present, future.

I think the author is right when say that today everything have a lot of safety signs. But, why was this happened? Because the investigations, the science and the daily life have taught us this is the right way. Also, well, companies have reduced malpractice claims or lack of information on labels.

  9. Article 3:
This article has the reason in so many ways, life has changed a lot since the new grown ups were little children playing in the playground, and using the metal slide like the article said. Now the children are growing in a very safe environment with no chance to injuries but in a certain way it is so dissapointed that the children of today don't take risks like the old ones did it back in time. But the positive thing is that now there are so many labels to prevent yourself from getting hurt!

  10. Safety Workplace IV
    Article #4
For a safer workforce, use leading indicators to avoid lagging
I think that the use of leading indicators is a better way of preventing most of the accidents and injuries on industries and workplaces that require manufacturing. As the article says, lagging indicators only worked on specific accidents that have already happened, unlike leading indicators, which based on the study of the different behaviors on the workplace, let the employers know where the weak spots are and take action before the accident occurs.
If this preventive behaviors were teached to employees more frequently many injuries could have been prevented. It must be a routine at work more than a duty.

  11. Article: "Safety perspectives: past, present, future"
This article analyses how the safety norms have changed through the years. For example, it is mentioned that in the past, seatbelts were considered unnecessary and now you must use it when you are travelling in a car.
The autor asks himself, why we need all this safety norms now if we do not need it in the past?. About this, I have to say that the security norms are responsable of making our live longer and nicer. Without them, for instance and continuing with the car context, the traffic accidents could be more dangerous than they are now.
Finally, he suggest that new generations are not well prepared for the risks of life as old generations. I think that the new safety norms do not affect how new generations see the risk. Maybe now we can be more relaxed in the daily live but that does not change our view of risk. That is part of common sense.

  13. Article: "Ten Precautions of Cell Phone Use".
This article is about the ten precautions of cell phone use.
The kids must use a cell phone only for emergencies. While you communicate to
other people using the cell phone, is better to keep it away from the body as
much as possible, with gadgets like wireless bluetooth headset or the speaker-phone
mode. Also avoid carrying the cellphone on your body all the times, it's really important
because the electromagnetic emission can be bad if you overexpose to it.
In conclusion, i think we must start thinking more about this situation, it's better to
prevent the harm than suffer it in a few years. The cell phone is really useful in this century,
but we might be putting in risk our own health.
